The Pen Duick model ship kit comes with a completely redesigned model that reproduces the ship down to the smallest details. The deck is finally laser engraved, offering a superb finish and a very realistic look. It contains all the parts for the modeller to build the model: wood, brass and cast parts, as well as brass photo-etched parts. American oak veneer wood for the roofs. Hand-sewn cotton candles, detailed and ready to be placed.

You can also scan the QR code on the box and on the parts list. It will be like a masterclass given by our professional modellers. The kit does not contain printed instructions. Two paper plans and the parts list are printed. Once built, the model is 550 mm long, 765 mm high and 94 mm wide. It can be placed on the wooden base with nameplate included in the kit. HISTORY OF THE PEN DUICK FRENCH CUTTER

Discover the new Pen Duick, the renewed wooden model of this French racing cutter by Éric Tabarly, whose life motto was: "Man needs passion to exist". Saved from destitution by Éric and his father when the former was only seven years old, the Pen Duick was the first of a series of boats with which Tabarly achieved multiple victories in different competitions. He was undoubtedly one of the best sailors in history.

Born in Nantes in 1931, Tabarly developed a great passion for the sea and sailing from childhood. He achieved great victories and smashed records at a time when the Anglo-Saxons dominated ocean racing. Far from relaxing in glory, he would continue to build ever more efficient boats and win races. He met his final fate when he disappeared in the waters of the English Channel while sailing his old Pen Duick to take part in a regatta of classic sailing yachts in Scotland.
