We intended to surprise our modeler friends with an ‘unusual’ model in our catalog of wooden naval modeling kits. We’re sure that we have achieved it. We present The Indian Girl Canoe model (19000) at 1:16 scale. It is a fantastic, detailed and faithful reduced wooden replica of the Amerindian canoe created in 1902 by the builder J.H. Rushton. It is one of the typical boats that we have seen for many decades in the Far West movies, used by both the North American Indians themselves and the settlers. Now, you can enjoy the assembly of this kit in wood from 2024 for beginners. Below, we present you this ideal model:

ESSENTIAL IN THE HISTORY OF UNITED STATES PLEASURE BOATS
Discover our beautiful The Indian Girl Canoe, new wooden model ship kit for 2024 of the typical boat from Western and Indian American movies.
The Indian Girl Canoe was designed by J.H. Rushton, America’s leading canoe builder, for the burgeoning pleasure paddler market, which introduced the Indian Girl model in 1902. To quote Mr. Rushton: “The Indian Girl is strong, light, safe yet fast, graceful yet seaworthy.” This design from the beginning of the last century lives up to its name.
In this regard, it is interesting to know that Rushton hired M. Roundry from the B.N. Morris Canoe Company in Maine to build the Indian Girl. Roundry had the expertise to build quality wood and canvas canoes that Rushton did not. In the 1910s and 1920s, the Indian Girl model became extremely popular and became Rushton’s best-selling canoe.
