Fishing Ship Model in Wood (II): New Miniature Replicas and Rest of the Catalog

We continue on this post showing our modelers friends each fishing ship model in wood from our catalog. On this time, we are going to talk about the new modeling kits of this type of boat that Artesanía Latina has created for 2022 and the best sellers. On the previous publication, we left it in the fishing boat models for amateurs with at least an intermediate level of skills and knowledge. We go on, then, with that degree of difficulty in the construction of the miniature replicas with one of the two novelties of this year. FISHING SHIP MODEL IN WOOD: FRENCH TUNA BOAT MARIE JEANNE

They have completely redesigned the wooden fishing ship model of Marie Jeanne tuna boat (22175), the traditional 1:50 scale French boat that currently delights fans of naval modeling. We have exponentially improved its assembly experience, being friendlier, thanks also to its high-quality parts. Regarding the contents of the ship modeling kit with the fishing ship model Marie Jeanne, which has sailed since 1900 until 1950, these have the highest quality standards. The third of the wooden fishing boat models that we introduce you is the Bon Retour (19007). It is a faithful mirror of the French boat of the Rada de Brest, but on a 1:25 scale. First built in 1952, it was in use until the 1980s. The fishermen used it for scallop fishing. Currently, a Gallic association for the preservation of the history of navigation called Tud Ar Mor keeps and cares for the original small sailboat, restored just thirty years after its creation by Guy Le Cornec. The fourth proposal on this post about fishing boat models for beginners modelers is the French doris from the end of the 19th century called Saint Malo (19010-N). This type of sailboat, firstly, sailed along the American coast of Massachusetts and Nova Scotia, to later make landfall in European countries such as Spain, Portugal and France. The Mare Nostrum (20100-N) is the typical motor boat from the Mediterranean Sea, many are fishermen from coastal European countries who today still they use. At 1:35 scale, the model is an exact copy of those that sail. Thanks to its spectacular finishes and details, it also seduces the most experienced too.

The level of detail is astonishing. For many years, there have been several models that we have not been able to manufacture but that have always been in our minds to sell them again. Our modelers friends demanded it that way. This is the case of the latest addition to our extensive catalogue: the renewed Harvey Model Ship (22416) in wood and at 1:60 scale.

Another great modeling kit made by Artesania Latina, this time, with the fabulous American schooner of the 19th century. It is aimed at modelers with at least an intermediate level of skills and knowledge on this wonderful hobby. CONTENTS HARVEY MODEL SHIP: WOODEN MODEL BUILDING KIT

This wonderful wooden model ship of the Harvey, a 19th-century American schooner, has eight cannons and extremely fine details on deck. This gives greater weapons power to this historic American boat. It is a clearly reminiscent of the lines of the old coastal schooners of the 1860s in the United States. Cutting Tools for Modeling and Crafts (I): Wide Catalog of Products for Different Applications

Artesanía Latina cares about creating all the products that the modeler needs when she/he is building her/his model ships or another type. This is the case of the cutting tools for modeling and crafts. Now, we have a wide and renewed catalog with many specific tools that will make the task easier for any of our friends.

Cutting parts of wood or threads, removing burrs or leftovers and sawing certain parts during the assembly process are three of the most common actions. Well, here you have all the necessary cutting tools for modeling. Cutters, saws, guillotines, scissors, blades… Choose the ones you need!

CUTTING TOOLS FOR MODELING: CUTTERS

One of the top cutting tools for modeling and crafts, the cutters. We have universal cutters #1 and #5. The most popular in our catalog is the Cutter #5 with Ergonomic Handle and 5 Blades (27044). Why? Because, in addition to cutting with blades, it can also be used for Micro Saw Set (27302) and for the Saw Blade (27042). This cutter also comes with a protective cap to prevent any type of cut.

Thus, the Bluenose was winner of the North Atlantic International Fishermen’s Trophy in all the races held between 1920 and 1938. Captain Angus Walter, at the forefront. In 1942, despite the efforts of this captain and many others who tried to keep the ship in Nova Scotia, the Bluenose was sold to carry cargo in the West Indies. On January 28, 1946, when running aground on a coral reef off the coast of Haiti.

Our 3D designers and our modellers have rethought the aesthetics and assembly of the American schooner model Virginia (22115) at 1:41 scale. So, the assembly experience for our modellers friends is much more pleasant, fun and simple. And what’s more, we present this faithful miniature replica of the 19th century ship in a new box!

It is a beautiful naval miniature suitable for beginners modellers, although it will also delight the rest of the modellers, regardless of their level. Once it is built, the American schooner model Virginia measures 21.25” (540mm) length, 4.72” (120mm) width and 19.68” (500mm) height.

The Virginia is a type of vessel known as a ‘schooner’ launched in 1819, as we mentioned earlier.
